Pricing and Quality
Our pricing is based on the hanging weight of the animal, which is the weight after the head, hide, feet, and organs have been removed. We take great pride in producing premium beef, and our prices reflect the exceptional quality and care that goes into our beef while still giving you great value at a more affordable price than less-nutritious supermarket beef. While our prices may differ from other farms, we guarantee that the price you pay is worth the unparalleled eating experience you are about to enjoy.
When you order a half beef, you can expect a total price range of $2200 – $3000. We have big animals! We also require a non-refundable deposit of $800 for a half and $400 for a quarter. For a half, you’ll take home approximately 250 to 300 pounds of meat, including steaks, roasts, stew meat, ground beef, short ribs, brisket, and more. It’s a diverse selection that will provide over 150 meals for a family of four.
Customization and Cutting
With half and whole beef orders, you have the opportunity for custom cutting to suit your preferences. You can submit the cutting sheet from our website to us by email or we can guide you through the process over the phone. For a quarter beef, we generally provide standard cutting with some house favourite cuts.
We offer free delivery to your door in the Calgary area. For areas outside the Calgary region but not north of Edmonton delivery is an additional $100. North of Edmonton delivery fees depend on location.
Note on Hanging Weight and Age
Our pricing is based on an average hanging weight of 800 – 900 pounds per beef. It’s essential to note that the hanging weight may vary, and the amount of meat you take home depends on the length of dry age. We typically age our beef for 21 days, but we can accommodate longer or shorter aging periods for orders of a half beef or more.
Place Your Order
To order a half or quarter of beef, reach out to us by phone or email and we will discuss a suitable time for butchering your animal. A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your meat, which will be deducted from your final total. The balance is due at the point of delivery or before.
Please note that availability will vary based on season, processing requirements and other factors. We typically butcher our animals on a bi-monthly basis, so you can expect your beef to be delivered to your door within 2-3 months. If you are looking for standard cuts, however, we occasionally have fresh quarter or half beef in stock ready to be delivered.
